Completion of the WEHub – Female Empowerment Hub Expansion by SEGE in Thessaloniki

With a clear focus on providing tangible support to vulnerable social groups, HELLENiQ ENERGY has contributed to the development of a cutting-edge, 600 sq. m. multipurpose facility in Thessaloniki, dedicated to the education and empowerment of women. A defining feature of this initiative was the active volunteer participation of the Group’s employees, who played a hands-on role in renovating and redesigning the premises, demonstrating the company’s social impact in practice.

In collaboration with the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Greece (SEGE), HELLENiQ ENERGY has successfully completed the expansion and upgrade of the WEHub – Female Empowerment Hub in Thessaloniki, creating a modern, inclusive space designed to empower and empower women from vulnerable backgrounds.

The project aligns with the Group’s strategy to promote equality, inclusion, and the advancement of women from disadvantaged communities, equipping them with the tools and opportunities for both professional and personal growth.

The newly upgraded WEHub now welcomes women from Thessaloniki and the wider region, offering educational workshops, skills development programs, and initiatives focused on career progression, innovation, and holistic support. The Center also provides mental and gynecological health services, free PAP tests, and childcare and creative activities for beneficiaries’ children, removing practical barriers to active participation.

The project’s successful delivery was significantly enhanced by the active engagement of HELLENiQ ENERGY employees. Under the motto “Bringing color to the lives of those in need,” they helped renovate and redesign the facilities, while also equipping the center with stationery, books, toys, and board games, fostering a welcoming and creative environment for the children.
