HELLENiQ ENERGY has officially handed over a brand-new, top-of-the-line, four-wheel-drive ambulance to the Health Center of Western Fragkista, part of the 5th Health Region of Thessaly and Central Greece. This initiative directly addresses the increasing needs of the local population and demonstrates solid support for the National Health System.

The ambulance will play a crucial role in managing medical emergencies both at the Health Center and across the 18 peripheral clinics it oversees, substantially upgrading the delivery of urgent pre-hospital care throughout Evrytania. The region is characterized by rugged mountainous terrain, harsh weather conditions, considerable distances from the nearest healthcare facilities, and limited transportation options—factors that make reliable patient transfer capabilities essential.

This ambulance donation continues HELLENiQ ENERGY’s collaboration with the 5th Health Region of Thessaly and Central Greece, reinforcing healthcare infrastructure in the area. The company has previously strengthened the Health Center of Western Fragkista and its peripheral clinics by providing advanced medical devices, including electrocardiographs, automated defibrillators, resuscitation equipment (Ambu bags), blood pressure monitors, stretchers, and immobilization tools for trauma patients.

The new MERCEDES VITO 4X4 ambulance, custom-fitted to meet the specifications of EKAV (National Emergency Aid Center), is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and enhanced mobility features suitable for navigating severe weather and difficult roads. This is especially vital for the mountainous municipality of Agrafon, which has one of the highest proportions of elderly residents in Europe. The ambulance is expected to significantly improve the speed and quality of medical care as well as ensure the safe transport of patients from isolated communities.

It is important to highlight that this donation of a modern ambulance to the Health Center of Western Fragkista, along with the advanced medical equipment supplied to the 18 peripheral clinics, is part of a broader series of initiatives by HELLENiQ ENERGY. These efforts focus on addressing the aftermath of the devastating natural disaster that affected Thessaly and Central Greece in September 2023.
