The U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Geoffrey Pyatt, and the Consul General, Mrs. Elisabeth Lee, at the Industrial Facilities of the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group in Thessaloniki

The U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Geoffrey Pyatt, accompanied by the Consul General, Mrs. Elisabeth Lee, visited last week (August 26) the Industrial Facilities of the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group in Thessaloniki.

On the occasion of their visit, they were guided to the Group Facilities, Offices, and Production Units (Propylene and Distribution) while at the same time they discussed the plans and goals of Sustainable Development of the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group. They also referred to the long history of the Group, starting with the inauguration of the American company ESSO PAPPAS in Thessaloniki and the productive cooperation with EXXON MOBIL.

The guests were welcomed by the Thessaloniki Industrial Complex Manager, Mr. Athanasios Paspaliaris, the Chief Officer of Coordination and Communication for Group Operations in Northern Greece, Mr. Georgios Zagliverinos, the Group Director of Energy Policy and International Affairs, Ms. Liana Gouta and the Operations Manager at Thessaloniki Industrial Complex, Mr. Daniil Antonopoulos.

A few hours after his visit, Mr. Pyatt posted in his tweet:

"Enjoyed my first visit to the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group's refinery to learn more about Hellenic Petroleum's plans for sustainable development and the Thessaloniki-Skopje pipeline. Excited to continue HELPE's long history of productive partnership with American businesses like EXXON MOBIL!"
