EKO, a member of HELLENiQ ENERGY and a leader in the Greek fuel market, once again stood alongside the "EKO Acropolis Rally," serving as Grand Sponsor for the fifth consecutive year and supporting this globally recognized event.
The “EKO Acropolis Rally 2025” drew the attention of motorsport fans worldwide, taking place from June 26 to June 29 across four regions of Greece. With 17 special stages, and 345 competitive kilometers, the rally welcomed 69 crews from 31 countries, offering audiences high-octane excitement and top-tier competition.
EKO, which played a key role in returning this historic rally to the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar in 2021, was once instrumental to the success of this year’s edition. From the challenging gravel tracks in Corinthia, Central Greece, and Thessaly, to the “EKO Athens Super Special Stage” held at Zappeion—where families and children enjoyed the unforgettable racing moments—EKO’s support was essential.
Beyond the race itself, EKO continued to promote road safety, as a core pillar of its Corporate Responsibility strategy. Through the “EKO Acropolis Rally Road Safety” program, developed in collaboration with the Ministries of Sports, Infrastructure & Transport, Citizens’ Protection, and the Hellenic Police, several key initiatives were carried out:
- At EKO’s designed booth at Zappeion, Traffic Police officers engaged with visitors, demonstrated technical monitoring equipment and hosted educational activities for adults and children on safe driving.
- A new awareness campaign spotlighted Greece’s recently reduced urban speed limits. With the slogan “Slow Down” the EKO Acropolis Rally helped spread the message nationwide, promoting a culture of safer driving. The campaign was curated by Motorsport Greece.
