HELLENiQ ENERGY is active in the refining, supply and sales of oil products and petrochemicals through «HELLENIC PETROLEUM SINGLE MEMBER SOCIETE ANONYME REFINING, SUPPLY AND SALES OF OIL PRODUCTS AND PETROCHEMICALS» (trade name “HELLENIC PETROLEUM R.S.S.O.P.P. S.A.”).

HELLENIC PETROLEUM R.S.S.O.P.P. S.A. resulted from the demerger by way of hive down of the refining, supply and trading of oil products and petrochemicals sector of HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.Α., on January 2022, in the context of the Group’s transformation.

Fuels Marketing

HELLENiQ ENERGY is active in the marketing and distribution of petroleum products, in Greece through its subsidiary ­EKO ABEE as well as internationally through its subsidiaries in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro and Republic of North Macedonia.

Renewable Energy Sources

HELLENIC PETROLEUM - RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES SA (ELPE RES) was founded in 2006. The company’s object of business is the production and trading of energy products produced by renewable energy sources.

ΗELPE Renewables’ target is the development of a significant renewable energy portfolio (wind, solar, biomass etc.), over the next few years, diversifying thereby its energy portfolio and partial offset of the Group’s greenhouse emissions.

Electromobility Sources

ELPE ELECTROMOBILITY SERVICES PROVIDER S.A. (distinctive title: ElpeFuture) was founded in 2020 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group. ElpeFuture is active as a Provider of Electromobility Services, as a Charging Infrastructure Operator, and as a Transaction Processing Entity.

Exploration and Production

In 2015, Hellenic Petroleum Exploration and Production of Hydrocarbons S.A. (HELPE Upstream S.A.) is founded, a wholly owned subsidiary (100%) of Hellenic Petroleum Exploration and Production of Hydrocarbons Holding S.A. The company’s vision is to develop activities and execute projects that involve every phase of the industry of hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation (upstream), as well as, to provide consulting services in related matters. HELPE Upstream S.A. personnel consists of highly skilled, qualified scientists, with international experience in the oil and gas industry.

DIAXON PLASTIC PACKAGING MATERIALS SA, a company of HELLENiQ ENERGY, , is the only producer in Greece of BOPP film, which is mainly used in the packaging industry. BOPP film sales are directed to both the Greek and the Mediterranean markets.

Power Generation & Natural Gas


HELLENiQ ENERGY is active in the production, trading and supply of power in Greece through its participation (50%) in Elpedison B.V. (the remaining 50% is held by EDISON International).

ELPEDISON S.A. is currently the second largest independent power producer in Greece with a total installed capacity of 840 MW (comprising a 420 MW plant in Thessaloniki, in operation since 2005 and a 420 MW plant in Thisvi, in operation since 2010).

In addition, RAE has granted ELPEDISON S.A. with a power generation license for a new 826 MW combined cycle gas fired plant at Thessaloniki.

Natural Gas

The company is currently active in the natural gas sector through its participation in DEPA Commercial S.A. and DEPA International Projects S.A., whereas during 2021, the Group also participated in DEPA Infrastructure S.A.

The aforementioned companies emerged in 2020, after the completion of the former DEPA Group’s corporate transformation.
